Dr Deepti Joshi

Dr. Deepti Joshi completed her basic medical training at Bangalore Medical College and specialized in Ophthalmology at St. John’s Medical College, where she earned a Gold Medal in MS Ophthalmology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. She further honed her skills with a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at M. M. Joshi Eye Institute, followed by an elective fellowship at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Joshi has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences and received the Best Paper Award at the All India Ophthalmology Conference in 2018 for her work on pediatric rubella cataract. Her clinical interests encompass adult and pediatric strabismus (squint), childhood cataracts, childhood glaucoma, refractive errors, lazy eye, and neuro-ophthalmology disorders. As the head of the CVI (Cortical Visual Impairment) clinic, she leads initiatives to enhance vision in children with neurological problems, making the institute the only one in North Karnataka to offer such services. Dr. Joshi is also actively involved in teaching and conducting programs for postgraduate students nationwide.
