Eye problems are the most common health problems. Without a clear eye vision, you cannot do any work effectively.

 

If there is an imbalance in our overall diet it could end up harming some or the other organs in our body.

Being one among the vital sensory organs in our body, eyes play a very important role to keep up the survival process.

If there is any deficiency in the food it will affect overall health plus it will affect eyes too.

Whatever might be your daily commitment to keep up, you need to maintain certain standards to manage eye health.

There have been many studies undertaken every year about eyes. It is often found that without a clear vision you cannot concentrate on tasks effectively.

So, food is what you intake that fulfils required Vitamins and Proteins for survival and to remain healthy. When Vitamins are in contraction, it may result in eye problems.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble Vitamin, it is to maintain eye health. The cells in our eyes require Vitamin A to function efficiently. It acts as a shield for cornea and retina and prevents vision loss due to age-related degeneration. Vitamin A is also responsible for reducing dryness caused by excessive screen time.

The food you can include in your meal:

Vegetables are rich in Vitamin A: Yellow & orange fruits and vegetables like drumstick leaves, amaranth (laal math), colocasia leaves (patra), shepu, carrot, sweet potato, orange pumpkin.

Beta-Carotene

Beta-carotene is referred to Vitamin A when it is metabolized in the body. Vitamin A is an essential vitamin that the body needs to enhance functions of the immune system, promote healing of wounds and illnesses, and to protect the surface of the cornea and it also helps to improve night vision.

Food that is rich in Beta-Carotene in particular:  Carrots, sweet potatoes, leafy vegetables, cantaloupe, bell peppers, and pumpkin.

Conclusion: 

Having a balanced diet is important. Due to busy lifestyles and the food that we choose to eat may not fulfil the Vitamins requirement that is needed to protect our eyes.

Though there are Beta-carotene supplements available to meet the needs, it is not recommended unless you have any food restrictions advised by physicians under certain health conditions.

It is important to follow a diet and have food that is rich in Vitamin A to keep your eye healthy.
